Education in the United States

I’m very disappointed with my daughter’s education. We are practically facing bankruptcy just to send her to this public school and for what? She just got a very mediocre score on her standardized test. She was even a little below average in the math category. Now, I know my little girl is not dumb. They must just not be teaching her correctly. Sometimes I wonder if they are teaching her anything at all! She’s eleven years old and barely knows her multiplication tables. Now maybe if we weren’t paying exorbitant amounts of money for her school I wouldn’t be so very upset, but we are! I expect better from a private school, that’s all I’m saying. Maybe we should yank her out and put her in a public school. My only concern is that it would be damaging for her to be taken away from her friends, but I am just so sick of wasting my money. She’s just been going there for a long time and making brand new friends is tough for a girl her age. I am just getting so fed up! It’s like they aren’t even trying with her. I am just so worried that she won’t be able to get into a good college. Or maybe she will get into a good school, but the gaps in her knowledge will be so great that she just won’t be able to handle it. I just don’t know what to do.
