OFF TO COLLEGE
I sent my son off to college only more then happy to watch him pack all his junk and finally get it out of the house. Growing up as an only child he never had the problem of other people messing with his stuff and moving it. A dorm was bound to be a culture shock. Ted just called me yesterday almost in tears. What appeared to be his biggest problem was that he did not have anywhere to place his stuff. The dorm only provided one dresser and he was stuck. I suggested he go out and purchase some closet organizers. He then began the whole drain of he just arrived, doesn’t know his way around, and of course the ‘Hey mom, where do you buy those things anyhow!?’ This was simple and I suggested he try to find the nearest Wal Mart and then let me know what happens. I’m guessing he must have taken my advice, because after that I didn’t hear from him for a couple of hours. Hoping he figured everything out I went back to my work at the office. I was extremely engrossed in figuring out the tax papers when all of a sudden my computer began to beep, alerting me that I have a new email. Curiously I click on it to see who its from, surprisingly enough it was from Ted, he wrote a letter thanking me for the brilliant idea and he had also attached a couple of photos showing off his neatly lined and organized closet. I’m so proud of my big boy, I always knew he could do it!
