Education in the United States

I thought I should update everyone on my progress in medical school! I've been swamped with work and school and haven't updated anyone for months! Right now the topic we're studying involves understanding type 1 and 2 diabetes. In my opinion, it's one of the more fascinating subjects because I have several friends who have both types of diabetes. I feel like I'm getting to understand their unique challenges better. Aside from that I have some other news! With all the course work I didn't think I would have any time for dating but I got a surprising invitation from a friend I've been studying the diabetes material with. I came over to her house and we just had such a good time talking and studying together that she asked me if I would be interested in going to see a movie. I guess you could say it was a bit of a romantic moment. So not only do I feel smarter now after months of nonstop studying but now apparently I'm appealing too! I didn't think anyone would even stop to notice me under all those piles of books. Seriously, I feel like I just roll out of bed and put on my glasses and get straight to work. Anyhow, I like the sudden turn of events!
