GOOD GRADES

Britney got a really good grade on her report, thanks to her mom and dad being in so much trouble. Her topic of bankruptcy information was just what we had plenty of. In fact, we felt a little nervous in that we had to go to the school for a parent teacher conference, and we were wondering if word had spread there about out situation. When we arrived we talked with Britney's home room teacher, Mr. Deet. He didn't look at us funny, so we assumed that we were okay. That no news had leaked out. Mr. Deet talked about Britney's science and math scores, and said that they could be better. Both Jean and I are not great in math, as is obvious by the trouble we are in now, but we agreed with Mr. Deet, and said that we would work with Britney when possible or get her tutoring to get her back on track. Other teachers were happy with her progress, so we left the school without any big worries. Of course, if we have to close the business, then we will have to see what to do with Britney's private schooling. This would be the last thing we give up. We would have to be living in cardboard boxes before that happened. We are keeping our fingers crossed, and we have an appointment with the lawyer next week.
