COLLEGE ROOMATE
My old college roommate Joshua is a huge hypochondriac. He always thinks that there is something wrong with him. Every time they talk about a new disease on the nightly news such as Mad Cow Disease or the Bird Flu, he thinks that he has it. Last week he told me that he was experiencing common diabetes symptoms, but it turned out that he was really just gassy from some pizza he had for lunch. If we ever hang out with somebody who has a cold or is feeling ill, sure enough within the next day or two he will start telling us that he has the same illness. Sometimes he will not even believe that he does not have a fever until we actually force a thermometer in his mouth and prove to him that he does not have a fever. It is actually sort of amusing sometimes to hear the things he claims are ailing him. They get pretty creative sometimes. I think that once in a while he makes up a disease, just to see if we are paying attention. It gets so bad sometimes that I tell him that they are going to start calling someone that is being a hypochondriac a Joshua.
